Everywhere you look there are advertisements for weight loss supplements. You can find before and after pictures of people who lost 30 pounds in 30 days. There are testimonials of people who lost tons of weight just by taking the latest wonder drug. You can read about scientific studies showing that people in a double blind test who took a certain supplement lost 3 times more weight than those who didn’t. It is very easy to get confusted. All this information can make it hard to know the truth about ladies weight loss supplements.

If you are interested in taking a prescription diet pill, you will have to talk your doctor into giving you a prescription. If you are even a little overweight, this probably won’t be a problem. The problem comes from the side effects from many of these drugs. Let’s face it, that is what they are – drugs. They can be expensive, addictive, and downright dangerous to take. You are usually much better off staying away from ladies weight loss supplements that require a prescription.

Now let’s talk about some natural alternatives to weight loss drugs. While there may be side effects with all natural weight loss supplements, they are usually much less severe if they exist at all. One of the supplements used as an appetite suppressant in recent years is called hoodia. It is taken from an African cactus where it has been used for generations as an appetite suppressant on long journeys. Another popular, all natural, weight loss supplement is green tea. Some studies have shown that it can increase your metabolism which can lead to weight loss. The most popular, all natural, weight loss supplement right now is probably the acai berry.

Acai berries come from Central and South American where they grow on the acai palm tree. It has been eaten by the native people for hundreds of years and has tons of potential health benefits. The berry has a ton of antioxidants which have been shown to be very good for you. It also has dietary fiber and omega fatty acids which can help you lose weight. It is often combined with other natural ingredients like I mentioned above to make some of the best diet pills for women on the market.

Regardless of which way you go, you should be careful when starting any new supplement and pay attention to the effects on your body. You should also expect to try a couple different supplements before finding the one that is right for you - there are hundreds of options available to you so there shouldn’t be a shortage of things to try.
