It’s possible to get into the best shape of your life simply by using dumbbells. Dumbbells have a very special place in the world of strength training and athletics. One of the best things about training with dumbbells is that they can force your weaker body parts to catch up to it’s stronger couterpart.
The following dumbbell workout routine has been confirmed to be a very effective way to gain strength and lose body fat quickly.
1. Dumbbell bench press (works the chest)
Warm up 1 x 15 reps and complete 3 sets of 8 reps.
2. Incline dumbbell press (works the chest and shoulders)
Complete 3 sets of 8 reps
3. Dumbbell Pullover (works triceps)
Lie down on a bench with your shoulders near the end of the bench and your head off of the bench. Either stretch backwards to reach to the floor for a dumbbell and pull it up or have someone hand you the dumbbell.
4. Exercise Ball Abdominal Russian Twists
this Considered an advanced abdominal exercise, but we love it, because it works the entire body. Start with a dumbbell above your head and your arms in a locked position. With your hips up and the ball in the middle of your shoulder blades lower the weight to the side of the ball while keeping your balance. This is a great exercise for any sport or for developing core strength.
