5 Ways To Beat The Belly Bloat & Burn Stomach Fat

February 25th, 2009 by Home fitness specialist

It doesn’t matter how skinny you are, you can still have an embarrassing belly bloat and disgusting stomach fat. That’s often the case in men and women who control their weight with only cardio exercise, but eat too many carbohydrates and fail to do new-school fat loss workouts.

The embarrassing belly bloat is most embarrassing in the summer. All winter other men and women are envious of your physique, because you look great while wearing jeans and a sweater. However, when swimsuit season comes around, you dread “baring it all” because of the belly bloat and stomach fat that hang around your middle.

Fortunately, you can beat the belly bloat and burn stomach fat at any age. In fact, here’s one woman’s story of how she went from fit to fabulous with just three short, but intense workouts per week and by making the right diet changes that helped her lose the last bit of belly fat.

Tabitha did this all by entering a 12-week Transformation Contest (that’s where men and women compete for cash prizes by losing fat). There were 5 factors that helped her win third prize in the contest, including nutrition, interval training, short burst resistance training, total body ab exercises, and social support.

Let’s discover Tabitha’s amazing journey. As a busy 39 year old stay at home mom, she had stubborn belly fat that refused to budge, no matter how much cardio she did. Tabitha even tried aerobics classes and the Buns of Steel and Abs of Steel videos. Nothing got rid of her belly bloat or was able to burn stomach fat.

One of the simplest, but most effective factors in her fat loss was switching to an easy to follow diet that focused on whole, natural foods while eliminating foods that came in a bag or a box. This was healthy and satisfying, and she felt like she had more mental energy all day long.

She resisted starting resistance training, but her husband insisted. Eventually, she tried the program that came with the Transformation Contest and she was hooked! The key to her workouts were short, burst resistance training workouts that changed every 4 weeks. She also added interval training to her program that worked like magic for beating the belly bloat and to burn stomach fat fast.

She dropped 4 dress sizes, going from a fit size 8 to a fabulous size 4 while losing 4.25 inches from her waist and 8.6 pounds in total.

Tabitha also discovered that she didn’t need to do crunches. Instead, she focused on total body ab exercises done only a couple of times per week, and achieved more results in just 12 weeks than she did after years of doing sit-ups!

The social support aspect of the contest was a shocking, but pleasant surprise. She used a fat loss forum to get help and advice, and also grew even closer to her husband Tom thanks to the contest. They held each other accountable and supported one another during tough times.

Without the social support from her husband and the folks on the fat loss forum, it would have been very hard for her to beat the belly bloat and burn stomach fat, so if you are struggling then make sure you are not missing out on one of the secret keys to fat loss.

Start working with a personal trainer or start hanging around people at your gym who are getting results. Don’t let old friends drag you down by pressuring you into bad meals and being lazy. Be proud and get support for your goals. You’ll be able to beat the belly bloat and burn stomach fat if you stick with the new-school fat loss workouts and your whole, natural food diet. Try to find a transformation contest that helps you put this all together.
